Desfile

On Saturday the kids had a desfile (march) at school to celebrate the fiestas patrias (patriotic holiday). They put on traditional peruvian costumes. They both wore costumes from La Sierra (the mountains). Angelica and Pablo from the Boynton team went with us.

Liam with some of his classmates. The girls are wearing marinera outfits. The marinera nortena is a traditional peruvian dance from the coast.

Pablo and Angelica getting into the peruvian spirit, which is awesome, because they are chileans.

Kilaine often asks me questions about "our country." It took me a little while to figure out that she was talking about Peru.

That's awesome that Kilaine and Liam are adjusting to Peru so well. Praise God!
