Construction continues in Puente Piedra

A group from Calvary Chapel In the City (Boston) came last week and helped us to advance a little further on the building. They were a great group and we made a lot of progress. Thanks CCITC.

Preparing cement to make a new floor, so the kids don't have to sit on dirt floors for the Bible studies. Praise God.

Americo (Peruvian) shows David from CCITC how to cut and prepare the wires for making the support beams of the roof.

A rare shot: Americo smiling. He really smiles a lot, but all the pictures we put on the blog of him, he is usually very serious.

We ran out of water and had to haul it from the neighbors house to keep the project going.

We built more columns and support beams and then on the final day we were able to finish the roof of one side of the building. More pictures to come.

Family and 1 to come (+/-7 weeks to go)

Wow! Look at this strickingly beautiful pregnant wife of mine. Only a few more weeks to go before we get to meet the new edition to the family. We are very excited. This week we had an ultrasound and the baby had it's foot in front of it's parts, so I guess we will all have to wait to see if it's a boy or girl.
Kilaine being sweet as usual. What a blessing little girls are, especially for dads.

Liam, our little monkey! What a blessing to have monkies, too!
Good times goofing off. We have lots of fun tickling and wrestling around. Boy it's good to be a daddy and to have goofy kids. I think kids are goofy because they are imitating their parents. Ha! A house full of laughter is a great gift and blessing from our Lord (not a verse, more like a paraphrase of many verses together). Praise God for the gift of family!

Outreach in Ica

Yesterday we did some street ministry in Ica. We have a team visiting from CC of the Triad (North Carolina). For the first couple of hours we did one on one street evangelism, then we invited the people to come and see a drama that the team had prepared.

A small crowd gathered around to watch the drama.

After the drama, Americo (peruvian) shared the gospel and explained the drama. It was good ole street preaching. We had a lot of fun. The people of Ica are ripe for the gospel, we had a blessed time. Many were asking where we met for the church, so please pray that soon the Lord would provide a place for His work in Ica.

In the evening we went to the Bible study. The house was packed, because there was 11 extra people from the group.
The Peruvians from the Bible study really enjoyed listening to a very touching testimony of one of the women from the missions team. It is great to see God working through language barriers and cultural difference. Our Savior is awesome.

more

Robin took this picture of Kilaine, she was just crawling out of her room like this one day.

I finally made a cake for Robin's birthday. It was only a few days late... (almost a week).

We went to Santa Rosa yesterday to do some evangelism and a children's craft with the team from Calvary of the Triad. They're from North Carolina. We went out in small groups. Robin took this up on the hill on the other side of the road from Santa Rosa.

Some kids of one of the families Robin's group talked to.

Praying before we start.

We had a nice time doing the craft with the kids. I made a pretty funny language blunder. I was explaining that the craft was an invitation to give to someone that doesn't come to the church. But, I accidentally said it was an invitation to give to someone so that they don't come to the church. Oops!!! Brian was sitting at a table right by me and started laughing. He told me what I said so then I fixed it. But, I've been getting a good laugh about it.

Denise was sleeping until Robin tried to take a picture of her. Ha!

So was Nick.
