Yesterday 16 of us went down to 8th Street in Miami for a little bit of cultural experiences before we go on the missions trips to Peru and Costa Rica. We had lunch at a Peruvian restaurant called El Chalan. It was awesome! (Thanks for the tip, Brian!) Then we went down 8th Street and broke up into 4 teams. We had to go around asking certain questions to people who didn't speak very much English. That's always a fun time! It rained the whole time, which added to our adventure.

Ayer, 16 de nosotros fuimos a Calle Ocho en Miami por una experiencia cultural antes vamos en los viajes misiones a Peru y Costa Rica. Tomamos el almuerzo a un restaurante peruano se llama El Chalan. !Fue muy rico! (!Gracias por la sugestion, Brian!) Entonces, ibamos a Calle Ocho y nos dividimos en 4 grupos. Tuvimos que hacer unas preguntas a personas que no hablaron mucho ingles. !Siempre es un tiempo divertido! Llovia el tiempo completo, que anadia a nuestra aventura.

Vacation Bible School. Escuela de Biblia de vacaciones

Last week was vacation Bible school (VBS). We had a lot of fun. I did the children's songs each night. (That's Kaulana's ukelele!) Robin did the teaching for 2 of the nights and helped out with games and things the other nights. We had a great time, but we're really tired. Wow, that was exhausting!

La semana pasada fue la escuela de biblia de vacaciones (VBS). Tuvimos mucho divertidos. Hice las canciones de los ninos cada noche. (!Ese el ukelele de Kaulana!) Robin enseno a los ninos por 2 de las noches y el ayudo con los juegos y ortas cosas por otras noches. Pasamos un buen rato, pero estamos muy cansados. !Caramba, estamos agotados!

Robin went deep sea fishing with the men in the church. After 30 minutes on the boat Robin got sick. Not much fun for Robin. I heard the other men had fun.

Yesterday we had a yard sale to raise money for our missions trip to Peru in July. It was hard work, but we had a lot of fun. Working together as a team prepares us for the trip.
Ayer tuvimos una venta en la yarda reunir dinero por nuestro viaje mision a Peru en julio. Fue trabajo dificil, pero pasaron un buen rato. Trabajando juntos como un pareja nos prepara para el viaje.

Studying Estudiando

We study Spanish every Thursday. We are hoping to move to Peru next summer as full time missionaries. Sometimes studying can be fun and sometimes it can be difficult. Sometimes we are excited to study and sometimes it's the last thing we want to do. We are definitely learning perseverance.

Estudiamos espanol todos los jueves. Estamos esperando a muvir a Peru el proximo verano para ser misioneros tiempo completo. A veces estudiando esta divertido, y a veces esta dificil. Algunas veces estamos emocionados estudiar y a veces no le queremos nuestra tarea. Seguramente estamos aprendiendo perseverancia.

We had a baptism last Sunday at the beach. It's awesome to look at someone who really understands what they are doing and to see their excitement for the Lord. We are truly new in Christ. Tuvimos un bautizo el domingo pasado a la playa. Es estupendo viendo a alguien que entiende que esta haciendo y ver su entusiasmo por el Senor. Verdaderamente estamos nuevos en Cristo.

Here are some pictures of my kids. Kilaine is 4 1/2 and Liam is 2. They have gigantic personalities. Aqui son unos fotografias de mis ninos. Kilaine tiene 4 1/2 anos y Liam tiene 2 anos. Tienen gigante personalidades.

I love being a part of what goes on in the mission field. It's crucial that we support missionaries through prayer. We must never forget about the believers around the world and the work that needs to be done. There is a great need for prayers, for senders, and for goers. (Is that really a word?) Pray about what country the Lord would have for you. Begin praying for that country. Find a missionary there and be faithful to stand in the gap for them. My heart is for Peru. Here are some blogs of what is going on in Peru. Es bueno haciendo uno su parte con misiones. Es muy importante que oramos por misioneros. Nunca debemos olvidar sobre los que creen alrededor el mundo y el trabajo que necesita esta terminando. Hay un gran necesita por algunos orar, por algunos enviar, por algunos ir. Ora sobre cual pais El Senor teneria por ti. Comienza a orar por eso pais. Busca un misionero alla y sea fiel ser partidario de ellos y mantener a ellos con oracion. Mi corazon es para Peru. What is the purpose of worship? It's definitely not just for playing music. It's our opportunity to bless God in a passionate way alltogether in unison. It's a time that we can stop what we're doing and focus on the praiseworthiness of God, on how much He's forgiven us, on how close He is, on how much we desire to follow Him. It's a time of healing, of remembering His word, of coming back into a relationship faith with
Him. It's so much more than songs. We worship through our lives, our prayer time, our time in the word. Worship is choosing Jesus above all else. ?Con que fin tocando las alabanzas a Dios? No es para tocando la musica. Es nuestra oportunidad bendecir a Dios juntos. Es un tiempo que podemos parar todos y pensamos de la bondad de Dios, en cuanto nos ha perdonado, como El es muy cerca, en cuanto deseamos seguirlo. Es un tiempo de curando, de acordandonos de su Palabra, de viniendo a El. Es mucho mas que canciones. Alabanzamos con nuestras vidas, nuestro tiempo de orando, y nuestro tiempo en la Palabra. Alabanza es haciendo Jesus mas importante que todos en nuestras vidas.
