In the last post I talked about Ana and the new Bible study that we started in Los Pollitos. I realized I never posted about how God led us there the week before. Ana is a young women with two little kids that walks about 30 minutes to get to the study, she has to cross the interstate with baby in arms and 12 year daughter helping along the way. Well due to the new house issue and that no one can watch her house she hasn't been able to come to the study for many weeks. Well of course we didn't know all of this until we went looking for her to find out what was going on. We thought maybe she was sick or something else had happened so we wanted to visit her and find out. Two weeks ago we went to Ica with the purpose to take a letter to the city to ask permission to have the outreach in January and to visit Ana. We arrived and tried to take care of the business stuff first only to find out that everything closes early and we arrived too late. So we got a bite to eat and tried to call our friend in Ica that knows where Ana lives. He was working and his phone was turned off. We called his wife and she had no idea. I remembered that Ana had told me that she lived across the interstate in a small village called Los Pollitos, so I looked at the others and said lets go and ask around. One of the other guys said we were crazy, that we would never find her in a village with many houses and people, "we don't know anything about her including her last name". We decided to get into a taxi and ask the taxi driver to take us to Los Pollitos in the most central part (the soccer field). We were just trusting the Lord to direct us. I went to talk to the first person I saw, a women sweeping the ground infront of her house. The women looked at me a little strange as I described Ana and her two girls. After a few minutes she told me she had no idea, but maybe it was the new lady who lived down the street. The women I had talked to didn't know her name, but had seen this lady with two girls that match the description I had given. She lead us down the road about three houses from hers and we found the bamboo makeshift house and we began to call out "Ana" After a few minutes Ana appeared. Wow, the first try. We were able to spend about an hour encouraging her and praying with her. She explained the whole situation and that is when the Lord put it on my heart to offer to come to her with the Word. Ana was so blessed with the visit and our faith to come and look for her when we had no idea where she lived. She was also blessed and her faith was increased to see how God's mighty hand led the way and we found her so quickly. God is so good and His timing is perfect.
