David at La Huacachina
We met at La Huacachina to have a time of worship, devotion, food and fellowship. Very Calvary style!! =) It was such a great day. Everybody brought a little food to share. Choclo and queso fresco, que rico!! (corn and queso fresco, how yummy!!)
Pastor Dave taught and Robin translated. It was a great message.

There's the group that came. Some people from the bible study couldn't make it.
Time to sandboard!!! Some of us climbed to the top of some of the sand dunes. It was an amazing view. Ica is surrounded by desert. La Huacachina is the last remaining oasis in Ica. It's an awesome place to visit.

Elisabet
Elisabet
This is Rocio's mom, Carmen. She is deaf and mute. But she is an amazing lady. She's 67 years old but you couldn't tell it by the way she acted. She was climbing up the dunes and sliding down on the sandboards with the little kids. She communicates with her hands, not the traditional sign language, but in her own way. I loved trying to talk with her. She's such a crack up to watch her expressions, like watching an old silent movie. When I asked her if I could take her picture, she just grabbed the little umbrella and struck a pose! I just fell in love with her right away.

Wow! That place looks awesome!
Sandboarding? Sweeet.
Choclo and Queso Fresco. One of my favorites. And even more with some Anticucho on the side. Great job the Lord is doing down there!!!
Yah, we put that really cool picture of Robin sandboarding in there so that you'll want to come and visit!!
