Cusi, Another visit

Last Thursday I (robin) went to Cusi with a small group of guys (Jaime, Americo, Kervin and Jaime). Our purpose was to bring food, clothing and blankets to the people, to share the gospel another time and to access the need for help. If the Lord wills we may take a small group of people to Cusi to work in demolition of the school building that was destroyed. It needs to be torn down completely and rebuilt.

The path to Cusi is very narrow and dangerous. Thankfully the Lord provided for the rental of a 4 x 4 for this trip.

This is the village of Cusi. There is not a lot in Cusi and all the houses look the same. It is a very small town.

When we arrived we had an impromtu meeting with the town officials to share with them what why we came and to find out how to help them. During this time we also arranged for a town gathering for the preaching of the gospel.

This is the school that need to be torn down and rebuilt.

This is a make shift school that the people of the town put together until they can rebuild the other school.

This is Pastor Jaime studying in his office for the message in the evening.
Pray for the people of this village, they are hard to the gospel. In the evening when Pastor Jaime shared about 25 came to listen, but the people were not very receptive. They need Christ more than they need another blanket or bag of rice. Lord help us to have discernment in there things. Where, when, why, what and how to help those in need.
Robin
