This past weekend we did an outreach in a small community outside of Ica. We had about 50 kids and 10-15 parents that showed up for the event. We were helping A Rocha (a christain not for profit working in conservation) start their project with kids. We tied balloons, painted faces and shared the love of Christ with these kids and their parents. A Rocha will be returning every other Saturday to continue showing the love of Christ and to work with the kids on planting a garden to better their community. Through this project we will teach the kids about the importance of taking care of God's creation and about God's amazing love for them. We had a great time. Kilaine and Liam went with us and participated in the activities.

Recently we had the opportunity to take our youth and some of the church members to an outreach in Pisco, Peru. About an hour north of us where there is a Calvary chapel plant. We took about 20 people and had a great time. They called me up on stage to do a silly dance contest with two other pastors. Good times. I love showing the youth and the church body that we can truly enjoy our freedom in Christ and still live holy lives.

We also recently participated in a festival celebrating Huarango trees and their conservation. We have been working with a conservation group called A Rocha Peru, that has a Huarango project in Ica. We tied balloons and painted faces for the special day of kids in the festival. The coordinators really didn't want us there because we are a Christian church, but because we participate in Huarango planting and conservation, they said O.k. We painted and wrote Jesus loves you on every balloon and many faces. We shared some invitations to the church and we were the stars of the day, we even got some free advertising in the newspaper (pictures and short explication of why we were there. Thank you Lord. That particular day the power didn't work, so all the things that the festival had brought to entertain the kids, didn't work. We with endless power in Christ had the ability to continue on in the work of the Lord, because our power doesn't depend on extension cords or plugs, it comes directly from above.

We now have an opportunity to minister in another community, Las Casuarinas. It is about 10-15 minutes outside of Ica. We have done some evangelistic ministry in this community and were praying for the Lord's will to start a small study there. The Lord didn't allow us at the time, but now it seems He is opening the door. At the same time that someone ask me to come and share, one of the brothers from the church said that he would love to go with me each Saturday and share the Word in this community. Please pray for this oppourtunity and Marcos, the brother in Christ that wishes to help.
