Night of Light

Puppet show, a new ministry that one of the members of the church had a heart to start. Thank you Lord.

A packed out church. We had more that 200 kids and about 50 adults.

On Oct. 31 we decided to present a Night of Light, showing the love of Christ and the light of our Savior on this dark night. Many people entered from the street to see what was happening. We were able to share the gospel through games, tracts, puppet shows and childrens shows. Each kid had to read a verse from the Roman's road to salvation before they could play the games.

On Nov 6 two of these families showed up at the church for the first time. Two of the moms that came received the Lord and began their new life in Christ. Praise Him. One of the moms prayed for deliverance from a gambling addiction. I love how the Lord used a night that the enemy intended for death and evil to bring new life and freedom.

street preaching

Hanging out at the house after a good afternoon of sharing the gospel. Lunch, rubix cube, other mind games plus a great time of worship and fellowship.
Sharing in the university.

Some of the crowd that began to gather to hear the message.

Monday and Tuesday of this week we had the pleasure to host two young missionaries Adelmo and Eduardo. Adelmo is from Brazil and Eduardo from Columbia. They are traveling South America sharing the gospel through painting and street preaching. Many people heard the gospel, many seeds were planted and we had a great time. Play for fruit from the seeds that were planted and pray for these two gentlemen as they travel and share the good news. They are currently in Arequipa, Peru and then off to Cajamarca. They mentioned that there desire was to arrive in Mexico with the gospel.

July 28-Aug 3 our youth group went to Ventanilla, about 30 minutes north of Lima, to minister with a Calvary Chapel church plant. We took 6 youth and 2 leaders. We had a great time. We ministered in three different communities during our 5 days. We ministered to over 400 children and several adults. We gave out about 400-500 tracts and invitations, we painted hundreds of little faces, we taught them the Word, we loved them and showed them Christ Jesus in everyway we know how. The Lord really blessed our time.

One of my favorite moments was when one of the youth boys was pretending to do a devotional to some of the other youth. He told me that I couldn't be there. They were just goofing off. The next morning when he woke up, he said that he really wanted to do the morning devotinal and he wanted me to teach him how to put together a devotional. I showed how to do it and he begin to read and study. After breakfast he was ready to share what the Lord was showing him. It was great, simple and deep all at the same time. The Lord really blessed me through this moment. I love doing the outreaches and ministering to the masses, but more than anything I enjoy these moments of discipling God's children. Than you Lord!

This past weekend we did an outreach in a small community outside of Ica. We had about 50 kids and 10-15 parents that showed up for the event. We were helping A Rocha (a christain not for profit working in conservation) start their project with kids. We tied balloons, painted faces and shared the love of Christ with these kids and their parents. A Rocha will be returning every other Saturday to continue showing the love of Christ and to work with the kids on planting a garden to better their community. Through this project we will teach the kids about the importance of taking care of God's creation and about God's amazing love for them. We had a great time. Kilaine and Liam went with us and participated in the activities.
